The Vallarta Botanical Garden offers a lush, romantic refuge just 45 minutes outside the center of Puerto Vallarta. Weddings are our specialty, but we’d love to host you for whatever your special occasion, from engagement to anniversary to birthday parties, to professional retreats and team building exercises. You can count on an experienced special events coordinator and gracious multilingual staff to assist with every detail, from floral arrangements and menu planning to photographers and musicians, and we’ll make sure it’s all a reflection of your distinct personal style.

Our Lady of the Garden Chapel
This romantic and elegant chapel is the perfect setting for your ceremony. Inspired by the San Juan Capistrano Mission, the chapel’s interfaith interior design includes a permanent installation artwork made of original photographs of birds and flowers against on watercolor inks printed onto natural fabrics in a joyful rainbow of color.
The chapel seats 60 guests on the inside, with room for an additional 40 seated guests on the patio in front, as well as private rooms for wedding party preparations.
Hall of Flowers Banquet Hall
The Hall of Flowers is a lavish open-air style banquet hall nestled between the botanical gardens and lush green mountains, with the graceful Los Horcones River flowing below. Tables are set with traditional Mexican serape tablecloths and decorated with seasonal flowers from our garden. Seating for 150 + guests is available in our Hall of Flowers.
Hacienda de Oro Courtyard
The Hacienda de Oro’s courtyard is a festive and magical location for your special occasion. The architecture and landscaping take you back to Mexico’s colonial days, with a traditional cobblestone courtyard and cascades of fuchsia and white flushed bougainvillea overflowing from the balcony above. Tropical plants surround a romantic koi pond dotted with water lilies, gently shadowed by a large cypress tree. Accommodates 50 seated guests or 100 standing
FAQ
Will the Garden be closed for our special event?
The Garden remains open to the public during normal business hours, but the rented spaces will be closed to the public. With different fee structures, we can also host events outside of business hours into the evening, or it is possible to rent the entire Garden during business hours; please contact us and we can design the best package for you.
How far in advance should I book?
It is suggested that you book a minimum of 6 months in advance, but we can occasionally host last-minute events. Contact us at events@vbgardens.org and we will do all we can accommodate your party!
Can I book a photo shoot?
Yes! We offer unparalleled natural backdrops for your professional photoshoot. Advanced booking is required. Our basic photography permit costs $3,000 MXN and admits one photographer and one model or assistant. Any arial drone photography must also be arranged in advance and is an additional $2,000 MXN. Does the Garden have an AV (audio-visual) system?
Yes! We have microphones, soundboard, large speakers, and lighting for your event.
What dining packages are available?
We offer several dining options including passed hors ’d’oeuvres, buffets, family style and sit-down dinners and can accommodate a range of Mexican, European, and international cuisines.
Can I bring my own caterer/my own food?
No, we do not allow outside caterers to use our facilities or otherwise allow self-catered events.
What beverages are available?
We are able to support your event with a bespoke package drawn from our full bar including domestic and international beers, diverse wine selection, liquor and cocktails across various price points, and non-alcoholic refreshments.
What if we want to provide our own wine?
The Gardens charges a $30 USD corkage fee per bottle of wine.
Can we have a cocktail hour before dinner?
Yes, please inquire about adding a cocktail hour with appetizers to your package.

Do you provide an officiant, or should we?
An officiant is not included in your wedding package, but we can help put you in-contact with a local officiant.
How late into the evening can our event take place?
We typically ask that your event ends before 10 pm. Additional time can be added to your contract at an hourly rate.
Will I be required to make a deposit?
To confirm your booking a 20% non-refundable deposit of the total package price will be required.
