Our Programs
A commemorative bench in the Vallarta Botanical Garden is a special place. Visitors can sit down, relax and view the magnificence of nature in our Garden. These family benches are a permanent way to honor your loved ones with the message of your choice.
We have three bench styles available for purchase at $1,500, $5,000 or $7,000 USD (discounted prices available for existing donors), and you may customize the design of the handmade tile finish. Elegant and permanent, these benches offer you an opportunity to sustain the Garden and add beauty to our sacred space.

This donation form will offer you the chance to get a tax-deductible receipt for the US.
By joining our Garden Amigos Tile Program, you are doing two very special things at once: dedicating a personal message to your loved ones or to that meaningful place or experience in your life AND supporting the work of the Vallarta Botanical Gardens to protect the unique biodiversity of this region for generations to come.
Once you have purchased your tile you will be contacted regarding the design details of your bench. On your tile(s), you can have text and/or images of your choice, and our artists will hand paint your design.

Our tiles come in two size options:
- Small – measuring 30cm wide x 15cm tall (approx. 12 inches x 6 inches)
- Regular – measuring 30cm x 30cm (approx. 12 inches x 12 inches).
You can also buy two or more tiles and combine them to make a bigger design. Get in touch today and we’ll create something beautiful together!

At the Vallarta Botanical Gardens we love and protect both plants and animals, and we would be honored to be the eternal resting place of your beloved pet.
We offer three options for burial locations and memorial stones. Our memorial stones are 30×30 cm, made of Cantera, and include a hand-painted message of your choice. It is possible to grow seasonal flowers in the immediate area of the gravestone, but no trees.
Chapel Valley Slope
For $1000 USD
Burial and memorial stone on the hillside of the pet cemetery visible from the Peace Garden. Record kept of burial location. Also includes 1-year Copa de Oro Membership to the Garden.
Bridge of Dreams Slope
For $600 USD
Burial and memorial stone in a private part of pet cemetery Record kept of burial location. Also includes a 1-year Sustaining Membership to the Garden.
Simple Burial
For $200 USD
Burial in a place chosen by Garden management; record kept of burial location. Also includes 1-year Individual Membership to the Garden. NO MEMORIAL STONE.

Puerto Vallarta has earned its place in the hearts of a variety of extraordinary people from around the world. When we lose someone who has a connection to this special community, we look for a peaceful setting where we can honor their life and memory. The serenity and beauty of the Botanical Gardens sanctuary is a perfect place to remember the special people we’ve lost, and to reflect on and celebrate the cycles of life.
Create a sacred place within our Garden of Memories to honor and memorialize a departed loved one.
A variety of customizable options are available, starting from $3,000 (USD).
Spreading of ashes and/or interment of cremains on the property is allowed but we unfortunately we cannot offer full burial services.
Commemorative markers:
All options include a carved cantera symbol or statue placed on a pedestal in the Garden of Memories in the shadow of the Cerro de Águila (Eagle Hill). The pedestals may be ornamented in tiles, including one hand painted tile as a default. A variety of different sizes and shapes of memorial stones are available, and additional tiles may be added. Please consult with us for custom memorial stone or monolith options.
Services & Ceremonies:
We are able to offer spiritual or religious services meeting the needs of a variety of beliefs and traditions.
Our memorial ceremonies may be held in any of the following areas: the Hall of Flowers in the Hacienda de Oro Visitor Center, the banks of the Rio Horcones, or the shade of the Giant Ficus Tree.
Ashes are traditionally scattered from any of the following inspirational settings: the Shade of the Giant Ficus, the banks of the Rio Horcones, the Cerro de Águila (Eagle Hill), or the Tree Fern Grotto. Family and friends often reserve some ashes for a memorial in the garden which can range from a single hand painted tile to a cantera bench or memorial stone with a cross or statue.
Receptions & Celebrations of Life:
We are honored to host a reception following your ceremony at our Hacienda de Oro Restaurant.
For privacy, larger groups may reserve exclusive use of either the upstairs or downstairs areas. Each of our memorial packages includes garden entry and complimentary coffee and cookies for up to 20 guests.
Additional guests may be accommodated and other reception packages with appetizers or meals can be offered. We can also arrange transportation for groups.
